Home-cooked meals are better with quality ingredients

Nutrient dense protein should be at the heart of every meal. With our low-input, natural pork, you know you’re providing your family with the best!

With all the uncertainty in our food system, buying meat from the grocery store can be unnerving.

At The Hanner Homestead, we are dedicated to providing our customers with high-quality, sustainably raised natural pork. Our mission is to prioritize respect for our animals, environmental stewardship, and transparent farming practices, ensuring that every bite reflects our commitment to health and sustainability. We believe in fostering a direct relationship with our customers, empowering them to make informed choices about their food. By reconnecting people with the source of their nourishment, we strive to promote a healthier lifestyle and a more sustainable future for feeding our families. Together, let’s savor the goodness of nature!

The food we eat fuels our bodies and souls. What is on your plate?

8 Years ago, my husband (Ron) was diagnosed with end-stage liver disease. We were advised to pursue a more natural lifestyle to improve his quality of life. We sold our property in Oregon and moved to Idaho so that we could grow more of our own food. Ron now has a fully healed liver and is in amazing health!

About our farm & family

Once we relocated, we needed a way to make our farm more sustainable. We asked around and discovered that there were not enough pig breeders for people to buy spring piglets. This has led us to provide customers in North Idaho and surrounding states with piglets, retail pork, and whole, butchered hogs for their freezers.
